Our trip to South Africa
This trip to South Africa was in honor of Alex's dad, Robert who is in his final stages of his life. He very much wanted to see Alex, Jen, Cody and Alexa. We thought it would be a wonderful trip to see Robert and introduce South Africa to Alex's family.

London
First we flew to London and stopped over for 12 hours. In London we were able to meet Alex's friends and they took us on a sighting. We got to see the Picadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Tower of London, London Bridge. Then we met Louis who was Alex's very first friend since he was a baby.

Cape Town
We then flew to South Africa. We landed in Johannesburg then changed planes to Cape Town where Alex's dad lives.
It was with a heavy heart for Alex to see his Dad, but we cherished as much time as we could to be with Robert.
Let us tell you something about Cape Town - it is Africa's best kept secret!

Garden Route
Afrter spending time with Robert, we had to go back to Johannesburg. We decided to take the Garden Route.

Durban
On the way, we stopped by Durban to see the world's 5th largest Aquarium and Alex's school where he graduated from and also to meet some of his friends.

Safari
As promised, Alex would take his family on a safari trip. We saw as much as we could see in 1 afternoon. It was an incredible experience!
